Multi-currency net worth tracking for iPhone

Different currencies. One personal balance sheet.

Savings in euros. A loan in Czech crowns. Investments in another currency. See them in one balance sheet without pretending that a currency conversion is an investment gain.

iPhone & iPad · Free tier · Optional Premium

Hypothetical exchange rates, not current quotes. The euro balance is unchanged even though its value expressed in Czech crowns is different.

Wealth Watcher net worth dashboard with EUR selected as the display currency above the history chart.
The dashboard’s display-currency selector is shown above the total. The screen uses demo data, not the hypothetical CZK rates in the example.

Build a balance sheet across currencies

  1. Keep the original currency

Record a euro savings balance in EUR and a Czech-crown loan in CZK. Do not pre-convert a balance and then label it with its original currency.

  2. Choose a display currency

Select the currency you want to use when reviewing the dashboard. Keep it consistent between check-ins so you can compare the same view.

  3. Explain a changed total

Check original balances as well as the combined total. A deposit, debt repayment, revised valuation or exchange-rate movement can each change what you see.

01

Bring currencies together

Record the currency that belongs to the asset.

Keep an entry’s currency with its value, whether it represents a savings account, property, an investment or a debt. You maintain the balances manually; this is not a bank-account connection or an automatic transaction feed.

02

Bring currencies together

Choose how to view the whole picture.

Use the dashboard’s display currency to bring the balance sheet together. Assets and liabilities both matter: an account overseas does not tell the whole story if the related loan is somewhere else.

03

Bring currencies together

Separate the number from the explanation.

A total can change because you added money, paid down debt, updated a valuation or because currency conversion changed. Wealth Watcher is a balance-sheet tracker, not a promise of currency-neutral investment-performance attribution.

A few useful answers

Does a rising converted balance mean I earned a return?

Not necessarily. The example above changes the reporting-currency value without changing the euros held. Deposits, withdrawals and valuation updates also affect balances.

Is this an international money-transfer service?

No. Wealth Watcher helps you record and understand your wealth. It does not move money, execute trades or connect to your bank to make payments.
