Product comparison by Wealth Watcher

Wealth Watcher vs Stonkee

Stonkee focuses on investment research and securities portfolios. Wealth Watcher brings investments together with the rest of your personal balance sheet: your car, watch collection, art, trading cards, property, cash, and debts. The choice depends on whether you want to research investments or track your overall net worth.

The short answer

Different tools for different financial routines

Our take: choose Stonkee for stock research and investment-portfolio analysis. Choose Wealth Watcher for a manual record of everything you own and owe. The apps can complement each other: an investment portfolio is one part of your wealth, not necessarily the whole picture.

Questions

Comparison FAQ

Is Wealth Watcher a Stonkee alternative?

For an overall wealth overview, yes; for securities research, it is not a like-for-like replacement. Wealth Watcher helps you maintain a personal balance sheet. It does not replace a dedicated stock-research workflow.

Can I track a car or a Pokémon card collection?

In Wealth Watcher, you can record a car, watches, art, or trading cards as assets and maintain their value histories. Values are estimates you enter or review, not guaranteed resale prices. We did not find equivalent possession-tracking documentation in the Stonkee pages reviewed.

Does Stonkee require a live broker connection?

Its FAQ describes uploading broker CSV files and says it does not access your brokerage account. Do not confuse file imports with continuous account synchronization. Wealth Watcher uses manual entries rather than a broker transaction feed.

Can I use both apps without double-counting my investments?

Yes. If you keep detailed investment records elsewhere, you can enter their combined value as one Wealth Watcher asset. Alternatively, record holdings individually. Do not include both the total and those same holdings in your balance sheet.
